The boot lip doesn't look too bad at least not on the silvery one I saw in the dealers, suspect it might depend on the color.

SEAT sound is awesome, I have it on my FR.

OP, what is the load area like? Does it have the raised floor with a cubby underneath you get in the octavia? If not whats the load area like with the seats folded down?

not strictly related to the ST but what is the sound system like the FR i have ordered comes with the 6 channel amp, 10 speakers and sub woofer

I too think the SEAT Sound is excellent, soo glad I ordered it. I only have the volume turned up to just over 1/3 and it's loud enough for me. Good clear sound with punchy bass, you won't regret it :)

Hi and welcome to the forum. If you are getting the tech pack, which gives you navigation or media plus system upgrade then you should get both the iPod & USB MDI cables, that's what I received when collecting the car, both cables were in the glovebox.

I would be interested to read anybodys thoughts on the handling of the FR ST with the 184psi Diesel.
When I ordered mine at the start of Feb I test drove a 150psi FR ST which, as I understand it, has a different suspension configuration at the back. Just wondered how the different suspension would affect the ride quality / handling?
My Exeo ST (Sport Tech) has a very harsh ride (to the point where I am not sure there is something wrong with it). It also suffers from "castellated" tyres which i was told by the local dealer was down to stif suspension and hard compound tyres on an estate with a light back end. Just hoping that the Leon ST does not suffer any of these issues.

Could be wrong, but sure I read somewhere that 150ps upwards get the multi-link rear?

Over 150 not 150 and above

I believe you are correct, however, the brochure is far from clear...

Rear suspension - Semi-rigid rear axle with coil springs and hydraulic dampers (engines 140PS and below) / Multi-link rear axle with coil springs and hydraulic dampers (engines 180PS and above);
19mm diameter anti-roll bar on 184PS engine

So these differences obviously are there to improve the handling, but do they make the rear end feel harder over bumps or pot-holes?

I dont think so. I had a 150 as a demo for 2 weeks and it's hard to tell the difference at all unless you are giving it some on the back roads then there is quite a difference in the feel

This but backwards (I have a 150 and had a 184 for a few days). DCC on the golf does make quite a big difference, but I suppose it depends on whether they set it at hard & harder or medium & hard.

Yes has raised area. Plenty of space. Will have pictures in the review.

Not on the car I had I could see. But this is a press car.

I think it looks cool saw one in the dealers yesterday just a bit big for my driveway so I ordered a MK3 FR instead
