mk4 ibiza speaker adapters

Please does anyone know where i can get some, realised the standard speakers are mounted on a bit plastic to make them fit so new ones won't fit. Can't make my own as don't have the tools and really can't be bothered!

have fitted these to a car (maxcars1) and fit very well and are very good!

would these be okay with jblp6552 165mm speakers then?

i belive 16.5 cm speakers will fit
the door cards fit perfect with them on and i think every speaker within reason will fit in the pod and not be to big and hit the window or door card!

cool the speakers i have look the same depth as the standard ones so with adapters should fit.
thanks alot will be buying them as caouldn't seem to find them anywhere apart from for the old ibizas!

sorry to ask another question but they don't come with adapter leads, do you think i need to buy some as well?

you need adaptor leads as well shame as the autoleads golf adaptor come with these also need to feed wires through a hole in the aluminium pannel to get to the back of the speaker, the adaptors are sealed against the aluminium. also i used the old gasket from the original speakers to seal the new adaptors to the pannel!

well iv found some golf adapter leads on ebay that should fit, apparently ?!annoying they don't come with them though. As you can probably tell i might not fit them myslef my mate might do it for me. But il have a go myself first, thanks so much for all your help gaz!xx

before the adapotrs came out i modifyed golf ones and the adaptors that came with is fitted perfect inot my wiring and linked the tweaters the same way the old speakers did. you need to drill the old speakers out then tap the rivets out carfully and catch them so they dont fall in the door
its ok hope you get all the stuff you need and everything goes well

yes a guide would be good me and maxcars1 were going to but just forgot to take pics. good luck with it if you have got one speaker off you should be fine with the other one! then 8 screws each side and few connections and thats it!

please excuse the bump, but need to confirm if the front speaker mounts are 6.5", and what size the tweeters are?

any other mounting adaptors needed, read something about having to miss the window as it comes down, thanks
