Maybe an idea to have the ordinary radio with cd-player installed and just buy a TomTom with BT support.

Or have it replaced with a Zenec ZE-NC2010.

Thanks for the pics.

Not great is it. 2 things I guess.

1, the gloss black doesn't match the rest of the car - although it may look ok in the Sport with the gloss black dash and door inserts

2, it's just too small - way too much margin at either side. I would have prefered it if it wider.

No point buying those 2 16Gb SD cards now then - looks like I need a micro SD's now.

I hope the features of the unit make up for the odd look.

Its looks better than I thought to be honest.
Your right it does look a little small in the gap,I will give some thought on how that could look better.
I assume any after market double din will look the same though.

Joe perhaps you could tell us how good nav, phone etc is as well as other features?

I also remember this unit can read can-bus on some cars for parking sensors and climate control. I dont suppose this happens in the Exeo does it?

Thanks for the photos, it doesnt look as bad as I thought it would, but definately does not look like a factory fit option. the plastic surround doesnt appear to exactly match the plastic on the aircon and other controls. I do hope they are able to address your problems. I am particuarly intereested in the sound of the unit. Is the bad sound you are experiencing due to an installation fault, or is it just not integrating with the BOSE system properly?

I think after market makes sense as features are so much better, just need to nail down integration and blending in with the fascia or maybe make it stand out with vinyl wrap or similar.

The Audi pic fascia seems a better colour match.

Personally I think it looks terrible. Don't like the way it's set back under that beveled edge. Makes it look as though its just been thrown together. It may have looked better if it was flush with the surround.

When mine arrives I'll stick some photos up.

It may look more integrated with the gloss black door and dash inserts of the sport.

Mine was due to arrive today ... I've not even bothered to call the Stealer as I've still not sold my current car privately and suspect I'm going to get raped on Part-Ex ... but the dealer hasn't called me so I guess there is some delay unsurprisingly. Having seen the pic (thanks Dale & Joe) I am certain that unless the dealer agrees to replace the Pioneer with the Audi unit when its available I will reject the car as it is not the specification I ordered. Whilst I am irritated to discover the SatNav doesn't do full postcodes - (presumably it can still get me to the place I want to go, I feel a bit silly not to have checked when I was test driving one) the replacement SatNav looks out of place to me and if it does not integrate with the DIS as promised then I will really miss it - we have it in our current A3 and love it.

My CLK only has 5 digit postcodes so it can be a bit vague sometimes...but i always have googlemaps on my phone which is fantastic. It also has dash display and it is very useful for nav functions, I would miss it. ....btw i'm not trading the clk...the other car is a civic. Theres no doubt that the tech pack was good value for money, but if the sat nav they have replaced the RNS with, does not support the vw CAN bus for the dash display or BOSE system, they can expect some unhappy customers. There are plenty of after market units that integrate better than the Pioneer they have chosen. They should have provided their customers with some options. e.g. drop the nav and get refund or discount the car. I'm still not sure what my options are, i have paid a £500 deposit. I also feel a bit sorry for the poor dealers that have to explain to customers about the change. No doubt many customers will be very happy and probably wont be aware of any gains or losses.

I'm not really a big ICE expert, but if the BOSE speakers and the amp are still in place - so long as the head unit can handle them, can the sound quality really be that much worse than the standard unit?

I'm assuming, of course, that the BOSE speakers and amp are still shipped.
