Yes I have asked but they say this is not an option. I even asked them to swap the one from the dealers demo. I have complained to SEAT UK and this is the reponse I got. I have replied pointing out that any replacement should have equal of better functionality and reiterated that the Pioneer is not approved by BOSE (BOSE have asked SEAT to run some tests). It should not lose any functionality.
"Thank you for your email dated 29 June 2011 regarding the media system in your new SEAT Exeo ST.
I am sorry to hear about your disappointment with the Pioneer media system that will be fitted to your new vehicle. The reason that the media system has been replaced is due to global supply problems with some of the system's components. This has been caused by unforeseen circumstances that SEAT UK did not have any control over.
We feel that the Pioneer media system is an upgrade to the media system that we can no longer supply. This has been done so that SEAT UK can reduce the effect of the production issues on our customers. Although the Pioneer media system loses some of the Bluetooth functions of the media system, SEAT UK feels that this compensated with the following gains;
Pre-installed mapping data
* Touch screen
* Seven-digit postcode search
* Database of 6.1 million points of interest (POI)
* NavGate Feeds PC application enables you to add your own POIs
* USB connectivity
* Bluetooth audio streaming
* Upgraded iPod connectivity - displays album artwork, playlists, albums and artists
* Video playback (supported formats include DVD, DivX, MPEG4, H.264, WMV and JPEG)
* Aux-in socket moved to glove box
With regards to your request for compensation, SEAT UK feels that we are already offering a good will gesture in the form of anupgraded media system. Therefore, in this instance, SEAT UK will not be offering any form of a good will gesture for our affected customers.
If you require any further assistance regarding this, or any other matter, please do not hesitate to contact me.
