ARB - Anti roll bars - part of the suspension that prevents/limits body roll. The more uprated the less roll and the more even the contact with the road across all 4 wheels hence more grip and better handling.

Bushes - in essence bits of rubber in the links between suspension components that have a certain amount of give in them to allow the links to move around and help absorb small bumps to stop them vibrating through the car. Uprated they limit this movement and keep the suspension geometry nearer to the perfect setting and improve handling, but can allow small bumps and road imperfections felt more in the car.

Dogbone - limits engine movement and weight transfer under the bonnet whilst isolating some of the vibration to the occupants of the car. Uprated it can allow more vibration to be felt but limits the engine movement more and helps with handling.

Wow thanks very much thats interesting, so would you agree these are a good idea if i were to want for a bigger turbo? Also where would i get such parts? I did a google search on the ARB and it got me nowhere, im also after some stronger boostpipes? Have you got any of that stuff on yours?

Have a look at the readers rides section, there is quite a few TDI threads there with mods they have done.

Slick and unclefester are a few to search for.

The thermostat and the coolant were about £16
The maf was £59 exchange.
Had the cat removed from my car today cost £50, best £50 spent yet. Made a difference to the torque and power and the noise level.Well happy goes like it should do now! That oil from the turbo failure must of chocked it up a bit.
