Momentary cut-out on m/way

Battery checked but not alternator - thanks for the advice mate, much appreciated! :)

no probs, i had a very similar sounding situation on my old Fiesta, was the alternator...

Get a volt meter on the battery, see if it holds a steady charge when the engine is running.

If it goes down steadily, you'll know you got a problem.

Hello all.

Just an update really for those interested.

I treated my little baby to a cambelt change at MidlandVW this week - (sorry for the blatant plug but they really were very good & it's always handy to know of trustworthy places to take our beloved cars for some TLC!)

Anyway whilst there I asked a chap called Jody who runs/owns the place (very knowledgeable & helpful chap!) & he confirmed for me that it was probably just a case of a little water getting in, as suggested earlier in this thread by andycupra. So thanks for that andy! Just to confirm this hasn't happened again since, rain or shine.

DannyC87, never made it to the go karting in the end but thanks again for the offer of Vagcom, I may still give you a tinkle in the future if need be! :p

So all in all thanks to all the posters on this thread that helped out! I thought I'd just update to put an end to the thread as it may help others & hopefully give us "noobs" a good name! (Am I still classed as a noob by the way??)

Mods to come so watch this space! Have started a Readers Ride if you're interested but nothing too exciting just yet!

Thanks again all for the help :D:D:D
