I've searched and spent a while looking at the ways you could get a MP3/iPod to work through the standard Alana HU, since i'm after a cheap alternative to getting a new HU, i have seen a cable on Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GOLD-SMART-CAR-AUX-IN-INPUT-STEREO-ADAPTER-FOR-IPOD_W0QQitemZ370228816502QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_AudioVideoElectronics_PortableAudio_MP3PlayerCarKits?hash=item56335b6a76, which acts as a cable that you can connect etc and use through the CD Changer option.

I was just wondering if there is anything people could tell me about this method, a walk through etc, what i'd need? All help would be greatly recieved :)

Thankyou in advance
:)

Only issue i am aware of is regarding pin 14 in the head unit.

If you have a "CD6" button - pin 14 needs to be earthed to make the head unit think there is a cd changer attached - then it will accept the MP3 player input.

If you have an "AUX" button - it's plug and play

Note - You will ONLY get sound in to the head unit - MP3 info and control can only be accessed on the MP3 player itself
