yep spot on but already tried it and it was tight :( just a poor design i guess

how much thread can you see on the top? (when fully attached to the car)
have you got different suspension/spring on it?

theres about 4 threads visible if i remember right, all blasted down with a windy gun lol and yeah its got aftermarket springs and dampers

4 threads sound ok to me (from memory)
i thought you might have different suspension, you could buy new top mounts, not that expensive and as you know, easy job to change
it might of just deteriorated!

you can buy adjustable shocker tops that allow you to screw them up from chassis to shocker end to make it all solid.
