MOT Question

Hi Guys, Car Is Going In For An MOT On Saturday And I Need To Be Sure That This Wont Affect My Car Passing

Basically, Over Christmas My Car Was Leaking Washer Fluid From Under The Wheel Arch Whenever I Tried To Use The Rear Windscreen Washer,
I Narrowed It Down To A Split Pipe Or Its Come Off The Washer Bottle, I Never Got Round To Fixing It And I Dont Really Have Time Now,

Will This Cause My Car To Fail Its MOT?

Front Washers - Will affect MOT
Rear Washer - Won't affect MOT

So long as it's just your rear washer it won't affect the MOT. Just think of Van's which don't have rear windows. Or those that have the windows covered over.

The rear washer problem is very common on the mk4, i repaired mine the once and then the pipe came loose again soon after

As for de-wipering, i shouldn't think it would be an issue. Some basic cars didn't come with rear wipers (e.g my gfs micra doesn't come with one as standard)

Yeh, I Was Thinking About It, Because Since The Thing Broke I Never Really Use It, Thats What Wingmirrors Are For

Never Really Need To See Behind You When Going Down The Motorway Doing The "Speed Limit"

It Might Only Be a 1.2 But When It Sees A National Speed Limit Sign It Automatically Wants To Go Faster Than The Speed Limit

Ad said rear wiper doesn't matter. I havnt had one on my past 3 cars at all and never had a problem

Might do, might not, depends on your tester. I haven't heard of one failing because of HIDs. I have passed 2 MOTs with mine.

I took them out at half 7 this morning will be replacing them now that the car has passed
Got an advisory for my rear washer but got them to fix it while I waited
