8.4% (decat)

 thats stupidly high lmao, how did you manage that?
i got 1.8% and my uncle (an MOT'er) said it was bloody high lol

and chris it's nothing major, like Ollie said it just needs revving for a good while, older cars always need this to pass!

Dodgy mapping, you should see the A/F ratio

bloody hell i can imagine the A/F ratio lol

what did you have to do to pass it? another remap? my mates thinking of getting some TB's on his 172!

...Mine failed an emissions check prior to my MOT. Bloke in the garage told me to take it out for a spin, came back and it passed easily with no problems at all.
Quite common on things like GTi's from what he said??

Ah, a good old 'Italian tune up'. I must admit I spent about 4 miles on the dual carriageway at about 80 in 3rd keeping the revs up nice and high last week just before mine went in for it's MOT.

Despite that it failed, needing 2 patches of welding, the horn didn't work (?) and they tried to get me with the 8 inch crack in the windscreen but which was outside the swept area. Got the first 3 sorted and told the MOT test that the crack wasn't a reason for a failure - which it isn't. The MOT is a snapshot of the vehicle condition - not what might happen if the crack gets longer.

Anyway, passed, cost me £220, another year of track action here we come.

Emissions  Oh you've already done it. That will teach me for not reading the posts.
