Rite so i need to get rid of the chrome outer layer on my grill ? or buy a new black one without the chrome

thanks

No mate just spray the one you've got gloss black no need to buy new. Whip the grill out and away you go. As I mentioned I'm positive the surround comes off.

If not just mask it up and then blast it with a rattle can :)

Sorry Dan you posted as I was typing lol

Looks nice and clean man !

I like the look of the car, but the interior.. Seat Really messed it up :)

Cheers..

Cheers fella :)

Only thing that bugs me about the inside is the Headunit would like one of the double din jobs but that can wait for now as I'm spending money on power and handling first.

Once she is running a full BCS system and Loba hpfp I'll have another trip to R-tech.Then it will be handling.

some nice little touches craig ;)
car will be awesome with the bcs system and loba pump:drive1:

Thank you Simon i appreciate it bud. Yeah can't wait for the next step in her journey lol

In the middle of plasti dipping the rear chrome, first coat is drying as I'm typing this.

Will update later with the finished results. Hopefully I don't balls it up ha ha :D

So today has been a good day for the Cupra! I've put my order in for the BCS system to be made and should be fitted on the 28th if all goes to plan :D

As the weather has been good i gave her a much needed detail. After a good clean I set about plasti dipping her rear badges.

Sorry it's picture heavy lol but wanted to show you all it step by step.

Fifth and final pass:

Removal of excess:

Removal was much easier than I'd anticipated.Slow and steady was my friend as it meant every bit come away less the inside of the P and A.

This is also aided by having good coats hitting it at different angles on each pass to ensure all edges are covered.

Finished product:

I'm very pleased with the result,IMO it looks much better than before.

Now it's time for a beer ha ha

Great job fella.

Very tempted to do same on mine, but so that we arent 'twinsys' I might hit mine with the clear coat dip to gloss it up to match the diffuser finish - not sure yet, the badge might look sht gloss :)
