if it is AKK it'll be mk3 polo 99-01 and 8v

that's if the AKK code he is quoting is right anyway mind - lol

the codes are the same engines in basic form - ie short or long block in bare form only, what you have to consider when looking at other marques for transplant is the ancillaries added (manifolds / water pumps / dizzy / sensors etc) all the bolt on stuff in short is usually specific to the original car in some way

right ok

does that mean it wouldnt fit?

as a block assy it will fit fine if it it is indeed an AKK that you are looking for, you'll need to confirm it with the seller though as he's quoting your engine code in a car that's newer and multivalved so 2/3 wrong isnt inspiring to be honest in reality

ok so basically im better off getting a polo 1.4 12v engine rather than an 8v?

is there alot of difference between 8v and 12v?

also were can i find my engine number on the car??

No noticeable diference between the 2 mate, if anything the 8v was slightly quicker on pick up.

The engine number is stamped on the engine aswel which is easier than looking in the boot
