haha! well the way i looked at it is, that everyone seems to have it polished more then people painting them. i've got a few more ideas for my engine bay. but not giving them all away!!! haha

got another update. been working on the rocker cover today. i painted it after a little clean..... and it looked ****. so i'm taking all the paint off and starting again. needs to be smoothed off more. it was all bumpy. not good. but i had a bit of success with my grille surrounds. heres some pics!
haha it's a pain in the arse!!! i've got most of it off now. i'm gunna try again in a min and see how i get on.
I really with how the grilles have turned out. they need another coat of red i think. then i'll clear coat them and stick them on. i just quickly placed them on to see how they looked whilst i let the dremal have a breather!

Yeah, the good thing is when its on the car it sits on a angle and has the coil packs N249 valve etc you can't really see much apart from the front edge

You know you can get those chrome grille surrounds, bassically i've cut the side ones in half, rubbed them down, primed them, and sprayed them.
i think they look really nice. should look even better on the car!

can i join part of the blue car gang? should be looking good mate when its all done ( pics! ).got bumpers ready for mine, just saving to get them sprayed and fitted ( getting married in aug , so funds are pritty poor ).

lol yes you can join! I braved the stealers for all the grilles and stuff. i can't remember ho much it all way though.

Are you putting the standard oil cap back on or painting it? I thought about doing mine imperial blue or getting a Audi R8 one, the R8 one fits the wrong way but you can modify it to fit same as standard.....although saying that I might just leave it standard black...decisions decisions 
I'm either thinking all black caps or the R* oil and coolant one and the rest black. I'm not sure yet! I've seen a few i like.
I'm also thinking of getting the Audi S3 Coolant cover as well. to tidy up the engine bay. and maybe the battery cover too.
Then i'm going to get a hose kit. I'm thinking of the urban camo one!! haha

Tried the grille surrounds with the current grille just to see what it looks like against the blue.
So i have my new bumper all painted now. got a few other things done too. gunna get it on today. so should have some pics later. but here's a few tasters of what's to come.

Love the thread, looking great mate, given me loads of tips. Ive just picked up me silver 02 leon cupra. Where did get your silver centre console, or did you paint it yourself? trying to decide as i dunno if i could be arsed to do it myself. Cheers

cheers!! the centre console is actually brushed aluminum. you can get it form your local stealer but it's like £120, i got mine on ebay for £60 i think.
