Thanks mate, still needs a bit more buffing before I'm happy!

Already sorting the send back for the led's. :)

Well, been chatting to a company called KEE automotive today about a remap, they've quoted me £199 inc VAT to get me to about 250bhp.

Sounds OK to me, anyone got any experience with them?

Never heard of them before mate. You can squeeze more from a stage one tbh, it might make more but defo do research 1st as I cannot remember seeing that name on here. I might be blind though...

You could get an AmD (I see your located in Braintree) or a REVO from them for £299. Proven maps to give very good gains.

http://www.kauto.co.uk/ Is the site I've been looking at, Kevin there seems to know what he's on about.

Was thinking AMD originally, however, got to be honest, at £199 inc. VAT seems like a good deal. I'm going to see if I can find anyone that's been to him for a remap, either here or elsewhere.

From the emails that have been pinging back and forth between me and him, he reckons with the car as is (Forge recirc and pipercross panel filter) I should see 250bhp as I've said with 265 ft/lbs of torque. :funk:

I wonder if once I eventually get my exhaust system, decat and cone filter on the car that would pull me up to 265/275 which is what I see most stage one cars at? :headhurt:

Not sure really, I'm new to VAG and turbo tuning so will take all advice! :) :help:

power seems just about rite for a stage 1 on a standard LCR...and like you say with the extra bits pushing the power up a little,

soooooooooo when is it booked in dude!! lol

also have you looked at P-Torque!! there stage one is £250.... *if i remember*

As soon as I have the cash Rich!

I'm thinking a pay day treat. :) :funk: For £199 I'm thinking cheap as chips AND on my doorstep!

Just remember most things are cheap for a reason, buy cheap buy twice mate

Yeah, I see your point Brad. It does seem a little cheap compared to anywhere else. Thats why I want to do some digging first before spending cash.

I asked what I'm getting for my money and basically, he downloads my original map from the ECU, sends it to a "colleague" and within an hour or two, I have a new map built around the readings and values my car has been logging.

I get the feeling he's a franchise for someone but doesn't want to name them, either that or this "colleague" works at a remap firm and is on a back hander.

His website seems OK, and the guy doesn't seem like a flash in the pan type company, and apparently the map is guaranteed for life. Whatever that means!
