Do you still use your Forge Split-R in 1/3 atmospheric 2/3 recirculating mode, or have you switched to full recirc? I've got the same DV for my LCR, but it only works when I use the blanking plug instead of the trumpet.

How many clicks you are running now?

Update: I've missed the line that you're using now a 007P. Sorry...

The reason why I've asked is that I don't know whether the performance of the two valves are the same if I use the Split-R in full recirc mode or not. If not, should I replace it with a 007P...? Thanks for your answer by the way! :D

I've also seen you're using a Neuspeed P-Flo intake. Is that az oiled filter? Here in Hungary, people don't now the brand, so I have to stick to eBay if I want any other than K&N. :) And to SCN.net to get any useful information. :)

put a 007p on you will find it alot better most guys with a 1.8t will say so makes the car throttle responce better keeps lag down to a min aswell.
loads going on ebay etc..
After setting up the FMDVSPLTR it seems fine (in full recirc mode). I've tried with an open cone and the sound it makes is awesome. [B)] So now I'm after a Jetex filter, if I couldn't manage to get one here, I'll order from the UK. :)

Unfortunately no one's having a 007P so it's not possible to switch it for a test drive.

sorry for the lack of updates, been poor and not bothered with her for a while :(

but!

I have changed back to the p-flo induction kit for the pipercross panel as the difference was small and since i got the fmic on it sounds crazy!
done both front top mounts to find that i have a split inner cv boot :( (on the to do list)
picked up a cheap revo sps switch ready for when i get the stage 2 map so i can get some more mpg on motorway and turn her up when i wanna play ;)
also managed to bag myself a de cat down pipe brand new for £50 :D so fingers crossed i can get her mapped around the end of the month!

finishing off my bumper trims at the weekend with a little luck so will get some finished pics up then :D

16 clicks for a standard leon cupra-R.The split-r is then adjusted to suit re-maps,etc. Shouldn't make any difference using the trumpet or the plug i've not had a problem with mine it's down to preference you either love em or you hate em :)

(Miller 20vt) Nice job bud looking like its really coming together let us know how you get on with your stage 2 :D

18 clicks works for me, but only with the plug. Using the trumpet gives me limp mode. Now I'm after an open cone filter, I really want the sound it makes. :D

I suppose its whatever works but 16 is standard above that is usually for a mapped car

I've found a guide here on SCN which says 15-18 clicks is okay for a standard car. Even with 17 clicks I get a huge boost leak when I accelerate.

Are you running with the re-circulating bung or with the atmospheric cone?maybe you should check your vacuum hoses etc.No disrespect but have you fitted the dump valve the correct way??as i made the mistake of fitting it like a 007p whe you have to fit it on it's side like the letter T lol. just check because not being fit the right way will have a major effect it did on mine felt like a newbie again.

This is my engine bay:

As far as I know the FMDVSPLTR cannot be fitted reverse, like the 007P.

The trumpet gave me limp mode every time in every setting... That's why I've switched to the plug. My vacuum hoses seem okay (no visible cracks on them), I don't really now how else to check them.

With the plug it gives a decent noise as well, but much different than the trumpet makes. I'm using a K&N panel filter now, but I've got my heat shield (similar to Badger5 shield) and looking for a cone filter... BMC, JR (Jetex), K&N cone, don't know what to choose. And also there's the Pipercross foam cone. I'd like to have good filtration and great sound as well, without hurting the MAF or the turbo itself.
