This is my engine bay:

As far as I know the FMDVSPLTR cannot be fitted reverse, like the 007P.

The trumpet gave me limp mode every time in every setting... That's why I've switched to the plug. My vacuum hoses seem okay (no visible cracks on them), I don't really now how else to check them.

With the plug it gives a decent noise as well, but much different than the trumpet makes. I'm using a K&N panel filter now, but I've got my heat shield (similar to Badger5 shield) and looking for a cone filter... BMC, JR (Jetex), K&N cone, don't know what to choose. And also there's the Pipercross foam cone. I'd like to have good filtration and great sound as well, without hurting the MAF or the turbo itself.

For great sound use the N249 bypass like i have...

trust me with an open cone that's really loud so i'm sure it will work for you to but if you have fitted the d/v correctly and set it up correctly then you should be ok although i would replace the hose to the top of your dump valve as they are known to perish and also looks a little nicer (I used 5mm Red silicone hose cost me about £2.49 for a metre and then all you need is some fresh jubilee's try fleebay ;)).Maybe there is another issue with the car try removing your d/v and change back to original boch d/v and see if you still have a leak  and it can be reversed because the pipe on the under side of the d/v as shown in the picture (the bottom of the dump valve meaning as it looks in the 'T' Position) can be swapped with the bung allowing you to place it in an upright position(which is what i did wrong but yours looks to be in correct position bud). Also I have a K&N open cone but the wider more oval type, everyone has their own preference if i was you i'd go with what's affordable as i'm not sure they make that much difference appart from size of course in which Jetex would be the ones to go for ;)

Have to try this too... By the way, what does this bypass do? I've read it so many times here, but don't really now what N249 is for (I'm a car guy, not a mechanic :D).

The main points you will want to know is 1.your boost will hold better and
sound louder:funk:
2.Your dump valve will sound louder:funk:
3.It's a cheap mod that will keep you smiling
and it doesn't harm your car:D
4.(My gear changes feel alot smoother now
I don't know if anyone else has had this)

I don't like being to technical as like you said we are car guys not mechanics :p

These are the pros, but what are the cons?
