my back box is broke

I got a second hand mk3 cupra exhuast system around feb time, and the back box has rusted right through, to the point where it broke off at the weld between the pipe and silencer it looked ok when i got it, surely it couldnt have rusted that quick, there was only surface corrosion on it. To cut to the chase i need another, so if anyone has a mk3 cupra back box, that isnt about to fall apart i will be buying one next month.

Because the back box is only hung on one side and is not the lightest chunk, it doesn't take a lot of rust before you can start having issues. Generally though, they let go at the bend just upstream of the back box.

Might as well get a new one unless you can still find one with next to no mileage, and if you do it might have had a life of cold starts and rust through again anyway ...

Its quite difficult getting hold of a new mk3 cupra back box, the seat dealership near me arnt too sure of the part number ect, no suprise really
