Hi Guys.
Only had my car a couple of weeks now but for some reason it feels alot slower.
It may just be where im getting used to it but it doesn't seem to be pushing me back in the seat with the same force it was when i got it.
Its a remapped tdi 130 so should be pushing 170 - 180bhp and ALOT of torque.
When it boosts at around 2000 i can still feel it pull obviously but nothing too what i remember it doing when i bought it??
Could there be something wrong??
Or would i seriously know about it??
Haven't really booted it yet.
Just took it to the redline in 3rd gear. then stayed at around 80mph and went into 6th.
Usually i only really put my foot down in 3rd too feel the torque and the power then when i get up to speed knock it into 6th.
1st and 2nd just spins.
Thanks and please tell me im just paranoid :0

one on order mate autogauge one.
How do i check for boost leaks?
am i causing more damage by keep using the car if it is leaking boost??

also ive never owned a diesel nor a turbo before but....It feels very laggy until it hits 2000 revs and then thats when it pulls.
Might just book it into AMD technik for a boost leak check and too fit my gauage

I have just had the same problem...and it was 3 boost leaks one v.large one! it took me 10 mins to do my test (i made a boost leak tester) I tightened up all the leaks and reset my throttle body, when I took it out - instantly better holds boost like it was previously doing v.happy:D

my advice is make or buy a boost leak tester because you will need it again and agian and if your doing mods probably again lol;)

im car illiterate.
My best bet then is get it booked into a garage.
So chances are it is leaking boost??
at 180 brake it should be pulling harder than it is...surely

also ive seen alot of mention about resetting mafs and ecu's etc
As i said what is all this stuff :|

I thought the same a couple of weeks after gettin my pd150 I think its ok !

you cant reset mafs mate just replace to reset your ecu youc an just take the battery earth off for 10 mins ;) but i dont think youll have much luck

My other half just said in used to it. But I could swear it's not pulling as hard. What should my boost gauge on a remapped 130 when fitted.
I'll just booked it into amd for peace of mind

Why do that I don't understand what it's gonna do, surely its got its own battery back up!

i know that diesels boost hight slandered so i dunno what toy should be boosting you wanna try get it on the vagcom to see if you can find someone near to you with it ;)

dont see what what would do fella taking the battery terminal off???

yeah to apparently reset the ecu? surely its got a battery backup

y would it need one its not running when the cars turned off its a computer and turns on with the ignition taking the terminal off will restart it same as restarting you comp ;)

Disconnecting the battery will reset the ECU adaption (assuming it works the same as a petrol ECU), so it'll start fresh. However unless you fix whatever was causing the ECU to adapt to cutting back then the problem will return, if that is what's causing the car to feel slow.

Can cure lots of faults. For whatever reason.
newer Reanults reset so that if say you increase the air flow then it will sort the fuel accordingly.
Have done it to fix a honda that wouldnt idle.

"Apperently" if you crash the police can check the speeds through your ecu. take the negative terminal off and it wipes it. (dont know how true that is though)

I take it as, i dont know fully what it does, i dont know why it does it, and i have no idea how it works. But it fix's stuff, and thats good enough for me :)
