That's just the part from the cat. It's been welded a few times. The rest of the pipe looks very similar/decayed/corroded all the way to the back box.

thermostat could be sticking? causing no COLD water to flow through the engine making it really hot, heating the cat up and making it weakened.

you mean:
thermostat might be sticking? causing no water to flow throught the radiator

it always passes through the engine, just when reaches certain temperature the thermostat opens (i think ibiza's use pellet wax design to regulate the thermostat)

matt you could always turn heater on full, help take some the heat off, but tbh like vince said, it might be thermostat!

my back box is on ebay (wasn't allowed to list the link in the for sale section), was a really nice fit and sounded ok too, just too loud for the misses/baby's.
also comes with the brackets. but you'd obviously need to get the rest of the exhaust first lol shame i chopped the rest of the system up to make a temporary join untill i bought the proper clamp :(

its the oval 1 located in newcastle

When I fitted my new thermostat housing, with a new thermostat and coolant sensor it was alright for 2-3 weeks then my temperature gauge stayed at the bottom when driving, but when it was stationary the gauge moved. The new thermostat had stuck open allowing the coolant to flow through the radiator all the time.

When I removed it I was able to move the pin in the centre by hand

Well I found a place in Wallington which was able to take my car in straight away for a cat back system.

£299 all inclusive with a mid sport tone. The cost don't matter, I just paid off £300 on credit card so all I've done is taken a step sideways rather than forward or back on debt hahahaha

I think it's a powerflow one. I went to work to pick up some deliveries, forgot to do exactly what I actually went to work for (print out a document I needed for tomorrow) and when I was there I told my colleagues about my exhaust problem, they told me to stop eating beans hahah jokes aside, my mate told me to go to Longlife Exhausts in Wallington.

So I went there, couldn't be arsed to talk/chat/listen and just said I want this, with that tone and that's that - how much. He took it in straight away, so am at home waiting for a call back now.
