No mate I didn't get round to it in the end, I could do a how to though if anyone is interested, I was thinking of re-making one soon anyway but with carbon wrap on the outside of the shield and a few adjustments

Good idea, but no i never tested it before but i have just got hold of vagcom so i could do now, does the MAF log air intake temp as well? If so, i could log standard airbox vs open cone (no heatshield) vs open cone (with heatshield) vs open cone (with heatshield and 3" air feed). What would i log, MAF g/s and air intake temp?
