My Ibiza GTi (Crash Damaged) Nothing Exciting!

I bought this at the weekend to strip parts off it for my MK4 Polo. Originally, I was considering getting it back onto the road but decided it was too much hassle and that I only wanted the 1 car anyway.

It was going to end up at the scrappers, but I stepped in. Although eventually it will be scrapped, parts of it will still live on! Shame really because I really like these but would rather buy another one in the future that wasn't like this!

Anyway, the car itself is a GTi 2.0 8V Cupra on an R plate with 96K on the clock. It has 16" white alloys of some description, with aftermarket sideskirts (or standard?!), aftermarket spoiler (taken off), and a few random speakers. It will be broke for parts so it will be in the for sale section eventually.

It was pretty ditched so I gave it a wash today. You can't tell from the pic but the interior is full of dog hairs! Spent all day Sunday cleaning the seats for my Polo!






As said, it will be broke soon but I'm in no rush yet! If there's anything you want, keep me in mind! There probably won't be too much left, but we'll see what happens!

What you after mate? I've got loads of interior bits. I could trade some for some help putting new bearings and hubs in the carriers for my 5 stud conversion

Can't gaurentee that the part you want is there, or if it's in good condition, but will have a look for you no worries.

If anyone could tell me what the wheels are, would be a great help! The guy I bought it off told me they were OZ, but I'm not convinced for some reason. I'm sure it'll say somewhere when I take them off, but does anyone know? The centre caps can only be described as tea pot lids!

Are the sideskirts aftermarket? Anyone know? Im guessing they are..

the centre 'screw (under the *S* ) is a bitch as its not normally a standard screw.. I have one side of the red, the other was smashed when I bought my car, so im after one for that reason..

I don't think that red strip has a good chance of survival after the onslaught of me, but we'll see how it goes

those side skirts are standard fit, but colour coded. and yes im after them lol! i dont have any on my car, also need a N/S wing mirror backing... ideally would have the rear bumper, O/S door, parcel shelf and mounting things spare wheel.. the compartment that hides the fuses... lol...

the skirts look standard but painted as per the mk3 which is in fact the same skirt just primered instead of black - looking at the rear bumper lip being painted i'd guess it's had a colour code job at some point

wheels look like OZ tourismo BUT yours have a sunken centre? possibly a 100+ or team dynamics replica ?

the tray i'm after im after is the one in the pic under your glovebox

there is a special tool for the security screw in the rear panel alas of which mine is bust and to be honest was useless anyway and i ended up centre punching and drilling most of em

just noticed the lip on the rear is colour coded, so im definatly intrested.. the wheels do look like replica dynamics but suit the car really wheel.

Excellent, cheers mate! You're probably right on the colour coding, it did have an aftermarket painted spoiler so I'm guessing it might have had the other bits done at the same time.

I was told they were OZ, but it didn't stick! Definitely replicas of some sort, all I have to go on so far is the "made in england" on the centre caps....you have to see the centre caps, bloody awful they are!

I thought that was the tray in question! I'll have a look at its condition and get back to you I'm trying not to throw anything away, but the photos make it look alot better than it actually is! On the inside, the truth is macdonalds and dog hairs...lots of damn dog hairs. The previous owners were Scooby Doo and Benji, I kid you not!

Mirror backings in check, the sideskirts...not sure on the condition, I was more trying to get them off! The screws are rounded, will have a go and see how it goes. Door I need to keep for a bit, parcel shelf had 6x9 holes and is covered in dog hairs...might be thrown with the parcel straps going to str@pper. I still have the driver glovebox, I'm not sure if it's in tact though...it was ripped out!

The rear bumper has a scuff one side, but other than that it appears to be pretty good.

I'll be in touch anyway The wheels are a good choice for the car, they are pretty curbed now though! Going to take them off at the weekend when I get some steelies and give them a good clean. Might be going to a mate of mine for winter wheels, in exchange for some work on my Dub!
