looks great

how much did you pay for the front bumper and side strips to be done?

I like that. Wheels really suit it indeed.

except, what have you altered to the car to go stage 2? I don't see a downpipe or FMIC mentioned which imo are essential?

stage 2 is next month....has a full piper exhaust..not getting fmic..have replaced pancake pipe etc though to smic with the round ths polished pipe..they clain 20%extra airflow..not sure i could justify the cost of a good fmic

my brother in law runs a sprayshop in southend..i bought the paint and took him and my sister out for a few drinks and a curry..he also coded the cupra r spliter and side skirts..prior to that he repainted the bonnet which had a few stone chips.

thats never a bad addition to the family ;)

maybe you should look a bit more into your idea of a fmic not being worth the money. I'm affraid you'll retract that statement sooner rather than later

yep best thing i bought for my leon.got it fitted last winter and thort wasnt up to much but when the summer and warm weather came MY GOD!

the car loves it now!!

i did not say a fmic was not worth the money..i stated i could not justify the cost of say a forge or equivelant (at the moment). i have not abandoned the idea.will see what comes up in the summer

You're car looks awesome!
Is that just the standard prefacelift bumper with the LCR splitter but all colour coded?? it looks really nice!!!
Do you have any more pics? :)

yes it is the standard front bumper with splitter colour coded..put the side skirts on it last week.i am keeping an eye out for the cupra r bumper but they are like goldust. there are a few more pictures in my profile/albums. when the weather improves i will polish it right up, the imperial blue paint goes the way of all the other early seat paintwork (fades), but does buff up nice.

Nice car Dave, one of my mates just sold his one, he was gutted.
Take look at the MK1 section, there a post on there of a very cheap FMIC developement that would suit your set up and give you good benifits for not alot of money but a bit of time

thank you..i will take a look..your car looks great..i often wish i had put a bit more money up to buy a cupra r. trying to make the most of what i have now..am very impressed with the car and performance.just need to fine tune it abit to allow for the recent full piper exhaust and jabba induction system

dont be part of the "LCR" brigade, I too have a pre facelift cupra, and much prefer it, tis individual and none around up to the standard I have taken my one too

be happy with it chief:D

btw are they cupra/cupra r skirts??? was thinking of putting some on my LC ... are they easy enough to fit??
