I found a scrapyard who had the facelift 2007 model, only done 175 miles, most of the front end was gone...what i got from it was interesting
Full black interior, front and back, including doorcards
4 pretty much brand new alloys
injectors
manifold and cat
throttle body
brake calipers
driveshaft (at the time this was what i was looking for!)
after putting everything in and giving car a nice clean and polish...

figured id make it look a little like the cupra, but to facelift it was my main aim...by this time i bought my cupra, the first week i got it some b***h hit into the back of me, got new bumper even though old one was repairable...hmmm came in handy :)
mods:
cupra rear bumper
facelift front bumper (until i can source a cupra one)
twin headlamps
full respray, including colour coding

How did you wire up your twin headlights?
I've been think about doing this...

is a simple swap, the plug that goes into the old unit fits straight into the new one. there is one problem though. if your light are on and you flash it switches your normal beam off to turn high beam on, however if you were to keep your high beam on (as in push the stock out then both work together)
bumper comes off, old light out, new light in, plug and play :)

I still don't get it... As I understand it at the moment I only have one set of wires running to the plug for my head light bulb, is there two sets or wires on the other headlight unit?
i.e. Is there eseentially a wiring loom with a multiplug on it below my existing headlight that I simply plug into a twin lamp unit?

What I have:-

What I would go for. (I know this shows a Xenon bulb, but essentially the unit is the same)

I can't find an actual wiring diagram online anywhere...

ok if you look at the back of your headlight you will see a plug. once removed you can remove the existing unit (with bumper off etc)
the new unit fits straight into place and the plug you take off from the old unit plugs into the new one...simple. another problem is you cant move the bulbs up or down electronically form the car. i will take a few pictures of the back of my unit for you
