The Millers additive you have got is very good. I used a bottle in my 110 TDi and the engine was so much quieter, smoother, and gave me better fuel economy.

A bit of hassle at the diesel station but it is worth it. The car is looking good though. Shame about the clutch. It might be worth looking into a single mass flywheel and heavy duty clutch. If you are going for big power then you will need an uprated clutch.

Hey mate, yeah is rising was 26.6 mpg now on 41.1 only put in 50litres so far thou.
Think when I bought it it was sitting around 50mpg, I still don't get how the avg mpg could drop so much so quickly and not feel any performance change either way!
I popped it on vcds and got a code, something about bank 4 circuit, don't know if that effects mpg!?

After putting £60 of nitro+ in my mpg with standard fuel is shocking!! Any advice peeps! Please pd150 completely standard.

Here's my average with always steady driving

Something very wrong there. I don't think I've ever seen less than 40-something on my FR TDI's computer even driving fast.

Can you check the actual consumption by doing a brim-to-brim test (fill tank completely full, drive a decent distance (say 50-100 miles) and refill the tank to the brim? The computer readout can be wrong (mine's consistently 5mpg under actual).

If you are actually getting 23mpg then either you are sitting in a lot of stop-start traffic (actual conumption when stationary is 0mpg, so lots of sitting around will knock your average mpg right down), lots of cold starts and short trips (engine running rich when cold) or there's an another issue with overfuelling (do you see any black smoke, soot on the back of the car, etc?) or engine temperature (does it reach normal temperature on the dial after say 4-5 miles of driving?). Can you get someone on here to check for fault codes with VCDS?

have you been using it round town mostly? The average is per 100 hours of driving, so could have just started again. Mine can drop if I'm only doing town miles if it's just clicked over from 99:59 hours

A bit of both really town n motorway, has a fault code, something about bank 4 circuit. Is creeping up now thou after 50ml of that fuel stuff I bought from 26.6 to 41.1mpg

Well at least its going in the right direction and improving mate. As mentioned above there still might be more to it than just a fuel additive needed to improve things.

Well after almost a month of using Miller's tdi cleaner my pd150 has maxed out at 42.1 mpg! Not good enough :-(. If I unplug my maf and reset the mpg calculator will it read the same if it's at fault? I'll put a vid up later on just how whistling whooshing my turbo is when my foots on the floor im a little concerned as it scares the pants of oap's.

I would say that if you unplug the maf and the car runs the same (and you still get 42mpg) then it would point towards the maf.
A video would be good.

Thank you so much for your kind comment, it was a right mess when I got it! I'm looking on finding a plastics company to manufacture a center console to house a aftermarket sat nav as the double din facia is mad expensive ( god knows why ) planning to get cupra r front and rear bumpers also 18" ch reps a nicer looking aerial, install led's for the exterior door handles and remap!!! So yeah a little bit to do

my friend has a double din dash and the satnav he may sell if you are still wanting to do this

what parts are you after exactly?

he says he cant be sure the nav works as it needs the radio code and was untested when he bought it.

your mpg sucks, check all your boost pipework for splits or cracked pancake pipe.

Also worth blocking your egr valve system off to see if that is causing it.

either way, a well tuned pd150 can do 66mpg average I know this because I do diesel tuning myself and have got mine up to it whilst keeping a good 180-190bhp

Proof you ask?

^ that's was over 22miles from cold start to destination yesterday when driving to look over a 194bhp throttle bodied locost with running problems, driving was over some motorway, some dual carriageway and some roundabouts and built up areas, driving between 60-70mph

I get 90miles to £10 of diesel and 190miles to £20 of diesel when driving to and from work (12miles each way) which comes out to an average of 60mpg so pretty good for a 124,000mile pd150

I tuned a avf engine pd130 over the weekend to 165bhp and 255lbft flat between 1750rpm to 2800rpm as the gearbox started groaning and the bloke is now reporting 230miles to £20.

So you must have a mechanical problem, before tuning I was getting 48-50mpg avg.

I wish someone would look at my cupra as iam not getting anywhere near that.. I am lucky to get 260 miles out of 60 quid mainly town work though . I am sure turbo is pooped cos my mates standard pd130 keeps with me.. Spent stupid hours under bonnet looking for boost leaks and vac leaks.. No one near me I can trust to pinpoint problem

Can't really tell if that's the same noise iam getting.. Mine sounds like the turbo blades are rubbing on housing until i give it full throttle then it seems to stop doing it . Gonna look at hot side of turbo to see if any play in bearing as cold side seemed ok.. Maybe iam clutching at straws lol
