i took them out shortly after i got the old map taken off and getting custom coded. it doesn't seem to hold back as much after sustained ragging but i don't know if that is down to more flow through the coolers or not having the crappy map TTS supplied me.

well, the LCR has gone to its new owner and i'm now driving around in something a bit smaller. i'm now the proud owner of a 2001 fiesta zetec S. ok, so there isn't any boost or DV noise :p but it handles better than my LCR did when it was standard. and its a LOT cheaper to run too which is nice!

it has a stainless janspeed backbox and so far i've fitted a JR panel filter, LED sidelights, silvertec indicator bulbs and 6000k H4 HID's. i've also fitted an alpine ipod headunit but i now need to replace the door speakers!

i have similar car check my readers ride thread on here to see the fiesta aswell

they are really good little handling cars

bit of a change from the LCR though

:-o:wtf: When I heard you were crossing over to the blue oval I thought you'd placed order for the new RS Focus. I know what you mean tho about needing a cheaper to run car mate. Happy motoring in the go kart. If I didn't hate Fords so much I'd prob buy 1

Hiya Karlos, sorry to hear about your move to the dark side. You and Markie have really let me down...
:ban:

Anyway, I'll forgive you if you can answer this quick question; when you took your foglights out did you think it was worth the hassle? I'm thinking of doing mine. I've got some 3" neoprene cold air feed for the left one to go up to the airbox and I can pop them on ebay for a bit of extra cash. As you say it seems like the intercoolers are properly obscured by 'em - not to mention extra weight! I'm not gonna end up taking the bumper off am I? Ain't had a look yet! Cheers bud.

Hi matey

On my mates remapped cupra r, he took both of his fog lights out and said it pulls better higher up in the rev range and also top end. I noticed this also when i put the cupra r bumper on my tdi and left the fog outs as my standard bumper was very restrictive on the side mount intercooler ;)

Cool, cheers mate, I'll get my screwdriver. [B)]

No worries mate, you better take them out and not be like D.K the chav with his fogs :p

Don't I know it! What a Burberry sporting AmD *****! :cartman:

My fogs are officially gone now, but running the intake up to the airbox is gonna be a bitch so I'll be leaving it for now. Not sure if i'll put them on ebay, think I'll keep them in case I ever sell up.

Wonder if DK's still subscribed to this thread...

Wanna lend me yer dremel for me airbox?

Im sure if you pop to DK's garage during the weekend, he will help you do your airbox  lol. If he does offer his service ill pop up and help you fit the cold air feed in. Its very hard with the standard intercoolers, but it is do-able ;)

Oi What's this about me being a chav [:@]

Brad how did you get the feed upto the airbox ??? the side mount intercooler is in the way

Martin I'll sort your airbox for you mate ;)

hello everyone! another very small update which will probably please you all..... the ford will soon be going! :D i'm taking the lazy approach to car ownership as i haven't cleaned the car in well over two months, rat look is the way forward with this car!
the new car will have a lot more poke as i'm returning to forced induction but it isn't from the VAG stable.
