i cant remember it but its about somewhere... think it was a few pages into a thread! so u will have to search! ;)

Cool....

I got them aswell....

I just sprayed the OEM bulbs silver with a fine coat... that way its a perfect fit....and cheap ...

I lost a few nuts into the bodywork while removing the OEM ones...

Had to strip half the car fo find it...

Second time round i just used a long wire with some tape wrapped round it on one end... What a real pain in the A§§.

I guess its just lack of practice, now i can fit them in a flash.

The plugs are a little poor quality though... You may find some bad contact in them

Anway, ... Well done... Looks very good. Especially on a black car...

I got mine for around 180 €

u fitted a resistor to stop the 3rd brake light (in the spoiler!) from glowing?!

as for spraying the orange bulbs silver... i put my front OEM philips silvertec bulbs in the rear and put some cool osram diadem bulbs in the front! ;)

I have them in the car for the last few weeks... Havent fitted em yet ... have you ?

Maybe this weekend...

I just get the coil light flashing now then (TDI).... and the dim 3rd brake.

I had chrome bulbs, but the base was a little bigger than the sockets...

I got so pissed .. i threm them away ...:cartman:

James, I have read this thread from start to finish. Very interesting as I'm seriously considering these on my Leon but have heard so much about low voltage problems etc. etc.

Just a final query, excuse me if i'm sounding stupid but did you finally overcome the problems by fitting the diodes (not resistors) you purchased from Maplins and going by your 'art attack' circuit diagram?

Regards

nope the diodes did NOT work!

the resistors are what did the trick in the end!

the above are standard lights!

yes they look similar (to the untrained eye!) but thats the point! (they are crystal LED design of the originals!)

they make the rear end look more modern imo

I love them personally! :)

at night time they look a LOT better with the LEDs light up too! ;) (which matches the brake light in the spoiler! )

I like them too, used to have LED Lights on my polo, because that was heavily modified tho, not going to touch this car visually other than a few subtle mods, and the addition of coilovers...

Just gonna concentrate mostly on the engine :)
