Hey all

After searching on here, and having a good read, and from what people have said recently when lowering, wheel spacers seem to be the way to go.

I have as most are aware an MY03 Leon with std 17" 5spoke alloys.

What should I be looking for in wheel spacers? Prices seem to vary widely. I read about hubcentric, and bad quality spacers.

I dont need/want anything too thick, just something to bring the wheels out from the arches a bit since the lowering has been done.

Am I right in saying 5mm is what I'm after? Someone mentioned buying them from Halfrauds for about £15?

Are they really that risky with standard wheel bolts? Or should i get new, longer wheel bolts?

Thanks all

Try speaking to Badger Bill. He should be able to give you prices and the differences.

Hi Pabs

I've got 6mm spacers on the front, mainly cause the wheel wouldn't fit over the Brembos, and got 10mm on rear. Not got the Hubcentric though keep being told that it is the way to go..... not had any problems at all other than 1 wheel bearing though this more likely due to low and firm ride. I put on 10mm longer studs all round, all from http://www.speedshack.co.uk/

Good luck!
