It's pouring with rain outside now so I can't even go get the paint, and I can't go and paint either because our garage is too small and well, the wind is so strong that if I do it under our carport(how you call that in English? little roof-thingy in front of the door/garagedoor), the rain still gets on it... Kind of sux cause I wanted to have the wheels on coming Saturday... Gonna have to wake up early tomorrow I guess!

Thanks mate! Would look really cool under yours I think! They're 3cm wider by the way, not 2.5(which is an inch)...

Just noticed that when full sun is directly on it, the paint seems a bit brown-ish, seems like it doesn't cover very well, but normally they seem like nice deep black so i'm ok with it I guess...

Epicness itself has arrived
Sorry for double post, but I got a lot of pictures...

Thanks.. But God, nearly everyone says I should take the centercaps off... I just hate the copper part of the rear axle sticking through... if it was the same as on the front it would look ok without the caps, but I just hate the greasy copper thingy on the rear axle, looks stupid... Think i'll repaint the centercaps, maybe white, maybe black. I don't know yet.

Sorry, realised I should've picwh*red in my own RR thread rather than the "Show off your Ibiza" thread. Edited there and repost here.
Been hard at work recently repainting my rear quarters. Still need to polish it a bit tomorrow, but I'll post some pics anyway.

And as Arun said, gave it a quick polish as I bought some new polish stuff specifically for red paint..

Need a new antenna, kind of... But I want one in the old style and I can't find any. Also still looking for cheapo foglights!

Car's looking really good man, how's the balance of the steelies? Just wondering if they're out at all or if they're done to a really high standard and are perfect.:)

Thanks a lot mate, means a lot :).

To be honest they're pretty much perfect I think, not done to any really high standard I suppose as I paid like 70 pounds for it to get them banded and blasted, which is really cheap in the Netherlands(some people ask 150 bucks for it). They're done by hand instead of by machine as well, but overall I heard pretty good comments about the guy that did it(he's been doing it for a long time too).

I think they're pretty much the same as they were before they got banded, if I remember correctly, one of the wheels had 5 grams on one side and nothing on the other, seems pretty perfect to me. But there was one wheel(my right front) which needed 40 grams on the outside and nothing on inside. Now I suppose that's because that wheel has hit a curb a while ago and was already bent a bit(but I'm not sure, we only replaced 2 tires yet since I owned the car so).

That same wheel seems to have been filled less than the rest for some reason, so it might be leaking air VERY slowly. It's been a few weeks since they're on and there's still plenty of air in it so doubt that it's leaking at all really.

I was wondering about getting them straight, there chopped then a band put in then welded back together aren't they?

Anyway I realy like the chunkyness of them, I prefer my wheels smaller like 15 inch but 7 - 7.5j wide. The ones I'm using at the mo are 6.5j, I've got a set of oz racings in the shed but they've got fairly bad flat spots and I'm not sure they can be straightened out, they 15 in and 7 wide.

A bit more width and some rear spacers would be an improvement, maybe some 205/50 tyres.:)

Yup they're cut through and then a 3cm band was welded in. Gotta say I've heard of a lot of people that they straighten out alloys, but somehow I think it's pretty expensive. It should be possible though!

But yeah, mine are exactly flush with the arches which is what I was hoping for! :D, Glad I didn't go wider but I do kind of want to but lower tires on it...

I don't know, I think those tyres look prety cool on the car. I'm away to google for someone local that can straighten wheels then maybe email some to get an idea of price, if they're to expensive I'll just get something else from ebay. Mind you it's a big list lol, turbo, tune, clutch, wings, paintwork etc etc :D

Thanks guys! :D Off to go polish the fresh paint now, hope it gets even better than it already is. Really proud that I finally managed to paint something without making it dull and bad :)
