need 2 make the woosshh sound louder

hello everybody just had a forge split r dump valve fitted 2 my car and wondered if anyone knows the best mods 2 make it sound louder been told a carbonio induction kit or a pipercross 1 and also a remap but not sure which 1 2 go 4 also been told if i get e re map i wil need a bigger intercooler

To make the DV sound louder, all you can do is fit something like a Carbonio kit and get yourself remapped so you're running higher boost. It will never to that loud though, as the 1.8T engine can't work properly with a atmospheric dump valve.

no you dont need another intercooler for a remap

its a nice to have not mandatory.

BMC CDA induction makes an awesome noise with the Forge DV007p...Going to borrow my friends Split-R valve to see if its any different.

ive got a jabba induction kit (off a golf iv) and a Forge DV007p and mine is plenty loud enough for me (but not annoying). From my experience, when i fitted the dv could hardly notice any noise difference, but once the induction kit was on it was like a completely different car.

I personally don't want the DV tish, the small noise it makes it plenty for me!
i don't understand why people chase this so much.

Well, it might be another "wooshy" thread, but it's been of some use.

I'm still deciding whether to go for performance or ICE at the moment. And within that decision comes the one regarding DVs. In an ideal world, I'd bend a Greddy Type-S and make it fit... but that ain't going to happen.

Aside from that, I'd like the Split-R because I do want the big purge. If ht 007p is nearly as loud and almost certainly better for the engine, then I'd rather take that valve. I want someone to decide for me :<

i under stand what you saying. had a loud exaust 1st due to the decat. which cause alot of attention. i then put the cat back in. its now very quite with a slight roar which is good for me.

with my dv, i want it loud, so when im giving it a heavy foot, its boosting high. so the car running way it is. if i dont hear the dv, some thing wrong.
