would it be possible to drive without my airbox on my mark 4 ibiza as im goin

to fit a k &n airfilter and ther is no room for the airbox to fit back on??????

thanks :)

when my filter split and fell off it over fueled and was nearly undriveable. this was a mk3 cupra though.

i'd never recommend driving anything without a filter though!

If you do mean a K&N induction kit then yes, you do remove the airbox.

This is my engine bay

its just k & n air filter
i got it on had to cut part of air box so it would fit over the filter

So it wasn't designed for your car then and you cut away part of your airbox to get it to fit

moreless haaa it fits perfect onto the pipe but the airbox just wuould fit back over it proper but it does now lol

got a mate to do it

This sounds like a right botched job! :( Any air filter that is designed for your car will fit with no problems whatsoever... no cutting involved. Got any pictures?

it sounds like hes put on an induction kit and then tried to put the airbox back on around the induction kit:scary:

heres some pics please dont laugh lol

Is that the proper filter for your car? Its an inducton kit so the airbox is not meant to the put back on. From what I understand, the airbox forms part of the engine cover on your engine so... your either supposed to leave the engine cover off, or trim it massively so the new filter does not foul it in any way!

call the rancher quick, there's some horse's gone a missing running loose in dat dare engine bay !! :)

IIRC i remember some one saying they carnt have induction kits on the models that the airbox is in the cover?
