Hi Guys,

Hoping some of you can point me into the right direction,

My 55 Plate Mk1 Leon Cupra R, lately (gradually getting worse) has been very strange.

when i brake there is a slight click from the front, no noise when driving. And the car is feeling very floaty when driving and going through corners, there also seems to be a slight delay in the steering wheel response. i.e i turn to enter a corner and its asif there about half a second wait before turning in.

Not had chance to get the car into a garage as of yet but have spoke to a couple of slightly mechanical minded friends and they have said that it could be a ball joint causing all these issues.

Wanting to ask you guys first, see if any of you had the same issues and could tell me what it is as im dreading it being something serious. Hopefully what ever it is can get covered by my warranty

Any help is appreciated. If you want to no any more info just ask

Cheers

Sounds very much like your front lower arms need changing. The bushes are most likely shot which means the steering is feeling floaty and delayed.

Yeah, Jack it up and give the wheel a good push and pull see if you can feel any movement where it is not supposed to be ie. bushes or bearing. But does sound like the above, had mine changed when i got my R a year ago it now will feel so much more precise

just rung local parts supplier doesnt have lower arm on his system only rear bushes :O anyone no any good websites to get the car parts from? links would be great.

Thanks for your help lads
