i can't see it fetching that.. my 52plate 1.4s leon traded at £2300 nearly 2 years ago!! it only had 60k on the clock too..

take it to some garages and ask for trading in value , you can then prob add about 700 - grand more for private sale
 
Look on Autotrader. Cheapest 1.6 in the condition we're talking about is £2795.

The cheapest diesel with 60k miles is £3495.
The cheapest Cupra with 60k miles is £3989.
The cheapest 1.4 with 60k miles is £2750 (04 reg).

in answer to the original question for the year average miles approx 70k but adjust honestly for condition etc etc etc
