Is it possible to get new front and rear brake pads and disks for a Cupra TDi from a VW dealer or would i have to go to a Seat dealer? got an mot tomorrow and i reckon id be better off changing the brakes first.
maybe not the pads, but definitely the discs and rear pads as they are used on other vag models! Whey not try badger bill, im sure he could get you better aftermarket ones cheaper, especially the pads!
Thats what i was thinking dozza, cars getting mot'd tomorrow so obviously cant order bits online or from anywhere. I'll take the car for its mot and see what the guys say, maybe just get them to change all the disks and pads when its in.
They def need replacing do they? Suppose u wil have to do it for mot then? Dunno if many places will have pads for the cupra front calipers in stock, they arent that common cos they are ap racing 1's! When i got my yellow stuff front pads they said seat cupra/morgan aero8/clio v6 only!!!
Not sure if the front ones will need replaced to pass the mot, pads are fine but disks are getting on the thin side i think. Rear disks are quite corroded as the cars been sitting about for a few months so i think they will deffo need done.
Has nobody found an alternative pad for these yet. i spent ages with amate and we eventually cross referenced my old brembos' with Jag v12 XJS rear pads and audi A4 discs. brought the costs down loads, the pads were only 15 quid.
