Diff is the best thing i've ever bought for the car, i cant even begin to describe how good it is powering out of roundabouts etc...!

Clutch is evil and something isnt right somewhere as its making a strange grinding like noise when in gear without touching any of the pedals, so overun basically.

Nah the clutch seems fine, so do the gears, no noise on driving just on overrun. I had the flywheel lightened with the clutch so that should help with the chatter.

Theres zero rattle from the clutch.

The sound, sounds like its coming from the diff/driveshaft area, its a griding noise with a slight knock/rattle.

Its drives amazingly with no problems at all, no crunching, everything engages well etc..., but this is buggin the **** out of me, the guy who built my box is gonna take a listen to it on the weekend before it comes out again.

If you can afford it, the diff is awesome even on the power i'm running!

Had a new ISP last night so i havent had chance to set up my network connection so i can upload the photos, but i should be able to do it tonight.

Isn't the clicking noise normal when your running a LSD? sure i've read or heard it somewhere.

Dave, not sure, sounds about the same place, but would this cause it to make a noise under no load in gear?

Just wondering if the drive flanges might stick out a little further on the ATB diff, putting pressure on the driveshaft with the car being lowered....

In fact, didn't Bill have a problem with that?

I could well be wrong, don't want to put you to any unnecessary work....
Is your front suspension adjustable... if so, raise it up and see if the noise goes?

edit, or more simply get the front jacked up wheels free of the ground and turn the wheels by hand. There should be sufficient angle on the driveshaft to eliminate then?

Might be an idea. I'll have a good nose round and get my 'box man to have a listen as well this weekend.

Just worried something grinding badly and spray shavings everywhere. But it doesnt seem to be gettin better or worse.

Maybe its just gear lash coz of the lightened fly, diff and different final drive and i just need some thicker box oil, i dont know.
