The part number for the 12v cover is E5P0919341A and is £5.32 if anyone is interested, when fitted in does look a lot tidier than the cig lighter in the hole.

Had a 12v cover fitted to my LEON 2 yesterday, £35 for the part and have it fitted, I am a little dissapointed i have to say, in the the screw driver marks that have been made to lift the centre with the switches on:(

You mean the garage damaged the surround where the switch plate fits?
If so complain!!! they should have special tools for this, I have removed both plates from my Leon Mk2 and my wifes Altea without leaving marks.

Hi RalphUp, Yes it looks like a screwdriver was used to lift the plate, so I will tell them about it when i take it back to have the rusty wiper and chrome surround that wasnt stuck down properly around one of the Fog lights.
Hope this isnt a sign of things to come specially as it isnt even 2 weeks old[:@]

That's outrageous you pay the money not to worry about damage then you get damage!!! I managed to do mine without damage and I'm not a Seat Tech, I'd complain and get some new parts fitted/ money back etc!!!

Totally unacceptable.

There can be no denial on the dealership's part when the evidence of shoddy workmanship is plain to see.

They should replace all damaged parts, without question.

Good luck.

Hi guys, maybe i am being a little over protective with the car:whistle:, wife thinks i am being stupid with the amount of damage that there actually is, here is a photo i just took:doh:

Seems fair enough to me, they have marked the plastic, simple as!

They should be removing it from the back edge with a plastic wedge type tool.

I used a thin piece of cardboard behind the screwdriver to protect the plastic, not rocket science really, if you're paying £30 for a relatively easy job you expect it done right.

Sorry for ranting but this stuff really annoys me!!!!!!!!

Many thanks guys, I will take the car back and complain about the way in which it was handled, mind you i wouldnt be suprised if they tell me there is not much there to warrant something in return, but i am not going to accept letting the damage go and forgetting about it, specially when i gave them about £24 profit as the cover was just over £6, to what looks like a small screwdriver to lever the panel out[:@]

Let us know how you get on, (plus you gave them £29 profit if you paid £35) which is not making you feel better.

 yes your right there, i cant even count properly:redface:, but seriously i will let you know of the outcome of my little talk with them:argue:

I have spoken the main dealer on the phone this morning to have the damage on the centre console looked at, rusty wipers to have photographed, hatch door hinges which look like there is rust forming, looked at, and to get one of the chrome surrounds that is around the passengers side fog light seen to, supposed to have had a new replacement part orded for that as it is coming unstuck, but looks as though that was not done, seeing as i was told it only needs resticking, but why should i do that when i have paid over £100 for those parts and to be fitted[:@].
Anyway Thursday next week it is going to be seen, lets hope it is a good result and not one of sorry thats the way it is:censored:

It looks pretty much as seen in the handbrake cover photo is a bit fiddly to fit, took me about an 45mins but after doing it once can probably do it again in half the time. If anyone gets one I post some destructions
I've just bought one of these. Has anyone got any fitting instructions with photos please? I don't have any trim removal tools and am worried about damaging anything. That said, the dealer will be expensive to fit this!

Many thanks indeed!

The part where your most likely to cause damage is levering the switch panel out of the console, use a blunt plastic lever wrapped in cloth or cardboard to protect the surrounding plastic is the best advice. Once out unplug the electrical connections and the switch panel comes away whole. From memory you then need to lever the old cig lighter out with a small head screwdriver or similar this is the fiddly bit but not likely to cause any damage that is visible if the srewdriver slips.

Guys, I traded in my Focus ST170 today for my Leon Ref Sport with Aero Kit. I deliberately kept the 12v socket cover so I could replace the ciggy lighter. Best of both worlds, easy to fit, cant be broken and still lights up with lights on

Cheers Gaz, I cant PM you as the forum will not allow it as you haven't posted 10 times.A few more posts and your good to go.
