I'm sure I posted this yesterday but will try again. I'm fancying changing the original head unit but on a budget. I'd liek the following spec:

Sat Nav
MP3 CD Player
iPod connection and browsing
Big screen
Bluetooth

Any ideas what to go for? Any word on the rns-310? I don't have the mfd but would like some integration with steering wheel volume controls etc.

JVC NX7000 plus bluetooth!!!
Have it, love it.
It's not perfect but then again nothing is...

about 700 pounds inc bluetooth. But you will need a can bus adapter ca 90,-

Other candidate might be the pioneer F900BT but I found it to be slow(even with latest firmware). Same price but no removable screen.

if you dont need to listen to the radio I would just import a pioneer f700 bluetooth from america for 350 notes and just get the european sat nay cds and load them onto the unit!

a quick note on the F700, if you live in an area with a lot of tunnels/high buildings etcetc go for the F900 or the NX7000.
Those 2 are the only ones which also use the speed/reversesignal/gyro. Guidance keeps working even when the gps signal is missing/bad.
But only the european NX7000 has the gyro etc. The american one does not have it.
