Yesterday I went to collect my new Leon ST 2026, all is well but to my surprise, the lightbar has no animation on unlock and the turn signals are not dynamic. Also there is no wireless charging spot in the center console. This area seems to be redesigned and just gets 2 usb c ports?

Is this normal? (Can the dynamic turn signales be coded?)

Sincerely

Have you double checked the settings? From memory if you go to Vehicle settings on the Infotainment Screen (you will see the car graphic). And then choose Exterior (you may need to swipe right) then Lighting, there should be an option for the Light Bar Animation, change to Animation 1 and also an option for the Indicators Classic or Dynamic.

Thanks for your answer.

I'll double check but there are very limited options under lighting. I have the matrix headlights (they work) but even those have only one option, I can choose between slow medium and fast switching. I don't remember seeing an option for the animations. I'll update this thread with a picture this afternoon.

Sincerely

Hi

From your picture I believe you need to go back a level and you should see a screen like the one attached (may differ in Belgium).

But if get this select Exterior >> Headlights >> Comfort Lights >> Animation 1 (you may need to scroll the screen up) this should give you the lightbar animation.

But you see at the bottom the 4 dots, there are other 3 more option screens to the right and you may need to check those screens as the placement may be different in Belgium. There are a few videos on You Tube showing the process as well - hope you get it working

Thank you for your answer, however under comfort lights I only get 2 sliders for coming home and leaving home lighting (not sure what those do though), I think. I'll check this evening.

Well i’m not sure it should have it though. I thought the FR edition would have that but there is nowhere that it says that has these features on any document. Maybe someone with a 2025-2026 FR can chime in?

Mine car is a year old. It is fr black edition full option hybride.
I have wireless charger as well my light animate on and off. Dynamic turn signal never checked actually.
I can't remember if I ever saw option to turn it on or off regarding does mentiond settings.

Coming home is a function when you open or close the car that your light stay on for the given seconds

Hi, Thanks for your answer.

Does your wireless charger look like this (see image) or is it deeper?
If I undersdtand correctly, your lightbar also does not have animations? Or does it?

Thanks for the info on the coming home function.

Way deeper.
Thread 'Formentor wireless charger update' https://www.seatcupra.net/forums/threads/formentor-wireless-charger-update.478201/
Here you see an example.

If they can't install it afterwards. There is an other option.

Regarding rear lights it's like in this YouTube movie.

Inside the car have it always on purple color and in the door side assist light orange comes through if a car is driving in my blind spot

Thx, the etsy one seems 3D printed with a charger build in. I should ba able to make that myself :). Yeah my lightbar does not have those animations sadly. I will check with my dealer. Weird that an 2026 FR trim comes without these features...

I created my own wireless charging pad like the one on etsy (posted earlier in the thread). Below are some CAD screenshots and pics from in the car (it was dark). I used an off the shelf 15W wireless charger pad that I pulled apart and put the guts into the 3D printed enclosure. Some adhesive felt on top and it looks ok. I use a quadlock case on my phone so I added a little raised puck so my phone is always centered. I'll see if it heats up to much or if it charges fast enough... I don't think that the USB ports in the car are all that powerfull. It was a fun afternoon of crafts.

Unknown to me, but believe part of the technology pack this connectivity box was added as well.
Next to 15watt charger it has also cooling between the phone and the charge pad.
Addtional it seems that the USB-C is 45watt capable in does situations as well. Never have checked it myself that part. But have saw message coming by online regarding that.
For sure the wireless charger is improving the cell connectivity. It jumps form 2 strips easily to 5 when you place the phone on the charger

Hi there, is wireless charging really that important? I switched this function off within a week from collecting the car from dealer.

Constant charging (wired or wireless) in short periods for your electronic gadgets is not good to their batteries. Also if your mobile phone is running really low, use the type-C cable instead of wireless as that leads to less stress to the phone's CPU.

My 22 plate FR had both animated rear lightbar and dynamic indicators. At some point during the following semiconductor shortages these were dropped from the spec I believe. My new 25 plate FR doesn't have either of these but hey...the infotainment screen is bigger and has illuminated heater controls but they've substituted a single tone horn also! The 2025 price list showed dynamic indicators on the FR Sport (no mention of animated lightbar), the 2026 price list doesn't mention dynamic indicators.

It's very important if every phone after 6months usb-c port stops working correctly. It's a dirt collection port. In the begin you can clean it, but later not.
The phone is also only laying jn there for the long runs. Else it is always in my pocket.

Unknown if you switch it off the phone signal boost stops working.

For me having every 2 years new phone. The price to replace battery and USB port is almost the same as buying new phone. If you wait longer you get less back from the phone.
