I'm about 6ft 5, I can get reasonably comfortable in my mk4 I just find my knees a bit close to the wheel it's alright sitting in it for a short while but any longer and it starts to get a bit annoying.

I don't have height adjustable seats, so i'm looking to swap to some that are.
Ideally i'd like to just swap the drivers seat to keep things cheap, but i'm having trouble finding one.

I could possibly get away with just swapping the front two seats, but I guess I may as well do it properly and replace the lot.
I believe Polo 9n/9n2 and Fabia seats should all go straight in.

I've been offered a full set from an 04 reg Cupra for £300 that match http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/7621/seatibizacupra19tdi2004.jpg - Does that sound like a fair price? I was hoping more like £225/£250, i'd appreciate your thoughts.

If you've got any other suggestions please share :)

rather than replacing the entire seat, you could just replace the framing and put your exisiting base and backrest onto the new frame. You should be able to pick one up for a scrapyard for not too much money- i would say less than £50, then just fit this in. As you mentioned before, the polo seats fit as well, so if there are no ibizas at your local scrappy, you can fit the polo frame as well. Hope this helps.

Cupra interior would be a nice upgrade and would solve your height issue, not much faffing around and will all match. 300 quid sounds a fair price, just try bartering them down though

Cheers both of you.

That's a sensible idea rf860, I hadn't thought about that. When everywhere opens up again it looks like i'll be tracking down local door polos and ibizas (Just remembered fabia seats or bases would be pointless as they won't fold) with adjustable bases...

Thanks Scott, i'll see if I can get a bit more off. It would look pretty tidy. Might try the scrappy idea first, unless other people think it sounds like a decent price too? I guess selling the old seats might cover £100 or so of the price which would soften the blow quite a bit.

would love those cupra seats in mine as my sport seats are looking well ropey.

I think £300 is a bit pricey but they do look the business.

i also think the Formula Sport ones look good also i would be biased :p

Cheers! Yeah, there are more interesting than Cupra ones, only thing is they don't have side airbags :(

You should (try to) get some formula sport seats Matt, they would look amazing with all the red in your car :)

yeah would'nt be putting cupra or fr ones in my car as thats trying to be something its not

I think the best bet is probably the ones you have, they look the same build as the FR/Cupra seats without the branding. And the red stitching goes quite nicely with the handbrake cover! :)

and i dont care if its sometihng its not - it would look better haha!!

You guys going on calling your Formula Sport/FR/Cupra seats... oh please stop it, it's us with the horrible grey ones as found in 1.2s that really are hard done by!

Mine look horrific right now, so many stains on them, all from WATER that has come into the car through the doors and/or windows when open. Now apart from never opening your doors or windows there's nothing you can do to stop it.

I've never known seats that stain so badly, it's not like I'm pissing on them or anything!

I'd be happy just to get seats from a Sport model, anyone one know where there's a good condition set for sub £150?
