Right guys got my new maf fittted today along with my cai from the bay, but to no avail it still boosts in 1st, go into second get up the revs and bang it feels like someone has just stamped on the brake pedal, into 3rd and it just revs all the wayround with no boost?

Any ideas?

With searching seems like it could be a nakered n75 so going to order one, could it be coilpack?

If its any help its still runinng really rich, there seems to be what looks like a powerboost valve fitted at the back of the engine? I have no idea about this engine bay as i have just bought it with the boost problem, and there is no one with vagcom close

Please help

Unsure as to why the maf is coming back up as thats a new item just fited from seat, as that was my initial thoughts as to why my car had boost issues.

I know that my 30 amp fuse is blown on top of the battery, needs to be changed.

Does my car have two lamba sensors one after the cat and one before it if so which one would need to be changed -

16514 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor B1 S1: Malfunction in Circuit
P0130 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent

No idea why this code is coming up ither any thoughts guys?

17963 - Charge Pressure: Maximum Limit Exceeded
P1555 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
Readiness: 0010 1101

Als ones djhorace had went away, my friend come down with his golf gti and we swapped
N75 valves that did seem to work better not perfect for one run through the gears then back to normal again. Its getting really frustrating now. Also did the n249 bypass just with the hoses to see if that would work still nothing.

Some photos of my engine bay (possible powerboost valve?) before bypass

Also if anyone wants to see my logs tell me how to get them up please.

All help welcomed.

Have you checked the fuses under the steering wheel? Number 8 springs to mind. As for posting logs. Copy and paste them in
Code:

Posting logs its in a huge excell sheet, have you seen the ko3s parts needed for fitting where it was posted and you could scroll down the parts needed, How do you do that as its a big excell sheet?

Hmm seems odd about the maf as you said will

Strangely enough i get the same voltage too low from terminal 30 aswell although i think i may need a new battery

That 'powerboost' valve looks very wierd, never seen anything like it before. If i can make it up the road just after the new year ill have a look at it and see if we can get it out of there :)

Oh and yes you will have 2 lambdas (one pre cat, one post cat) so youll need to check the connection to them.

The abs one is also a tad odd although a new set of abs rings may fix that? Might mean new hubs though :(

And im also confused about the airbag fault

Oh and also looks like youve either not hooked the speakers/aerial up properly or their connections could be goosed aswell :thumbd:

How much of the car did you strip prior to the respray?

The voltage thing is that not what the pic of the batteryis i have posted,

My friend with the golf gti said there all raving about ti on gti forum but i have my suspisions, so if you could make it up would be afa grateful.

Ok will get the car up on the ramp to have a look at the connections.

Nah dad had a look and it may just be the sensors,

Don't care about the airbag

I know that because when i bought the car there was no radio with a stupid soundsystem that didnt work with a head unit also wire up in the glovebox, not had time to look at that yet.

Just the bumpers, bonnet, lights, rubbers and the aerial wich something was goosed with that anyway.

Oh baz knows the car so think i will speak to him also to see what he thinks,

No one any idea why i have the boost problem?

merry christmas

I think you will see progress as you start to swap things oot Wil. Having looked in to this, I agree with what Baz said on the phone when I was there.

You gonna order the parts up to give it a go? At least you have the luxury of time to get it all sorted :)

The melted fuse is likely caused by your radiator cooling fans, the slow speed is probably broken!
I bypassed mine yesterday with a standalone 30 amp fuse holder. And have ordered a controller box from nime.co.uk, to actually fix the cause, which can cause it's own problems, but is worth a try as the fans cost £250 - £300ish!!

If you have a search there's lots of info about it on here.

Yes i sure am new n75, another maf, when i get the car on the ramp will have a look at the lamba connections.

Really is just the power boost valve thing the more i think about it, the more it sort of makes sense.

Sure do have time 3 month to be exact.

Did my friend with the golf gti get in touch with you?

Thanks again for running it on vagcom.

I have done the same and bypassed it with a standalone 30 amp fuse holder, for the time being.

Yip. Saw him there just now. His car has a clean bill of health and is pulling 125g/s through the MAF which I think is about bang on for a stock K03 1.8T :)

Also adjusted his autolock unlock beeping etc

So he has a healthier car than me then,

Will have to change that. hopefully changing all that will help,

He was thinking on buying that powerboost thing might just let him take my one.lol.

Right guys done some searching and it looks like its a fse powerboost valve

Are these any good? i know i would need to go buy a guage but is it worth it or would it be better to go back to normal fuel delivery?

Ah thats what i suspected it might be will.

A rising rate fuel pressure regulator. Bit ghetto if you ask me

Has your car been mapped at all past standard? Depending on the map you should get a 3 Bar (standard) or a 4 Bar fpr ordered up from vw. My 4 Bar came to ~£60 so id imagine a 3 would be slightly less?

Could give you a shot of my old one (3 bar) when i pop up to get you going if you need. I should be able to make it up after the 13th of jan (last exam :funk:)

With that rrfpr removed you could get rid of all that nasty red braided line **** and replace it with some proper vac hosing that wont fray and split! Oh and itll tidy your bay up as well
