Thank you, so the difference in 5w30 and 5w40 doesnt matter, its just the price tag that is very different! the longlife is much dearer!

It will really depend on if you are running the "long service" regime as far as oil changes are concerned as the Platinum, I think, will be for fixed time/distance service regimes.

The man above is correct; platinum is the oil of choice for a 'normal' service interval.

Longlife as the name states, is for the extended service interval!
