The Chrome trim kit for the airvents is for a LHD car, sadly. That just means the center console trim in the kit is useless. you can only use the airvents and the glovebox trim. Most of it is just stick-on, but the airvent requires a bit more work. I posted a quick guide here on how to do it: http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showpost.php?p=2234888&postcount=6. The guy who runs the site was quite nice about it, in the purchase I included information that I owned a RHD car. He gave me a refund, saying the center console trim was for a lhd only.

How did you get on with the fitting of the rings ?
I got a set and found them really hard to get on to the instrument dial surround, especialy the two large ones.
I have it now, but it's not a perfectly flush fit.
Where can we but a RHD chrome airvent set and air vent rings from ?
Also, are the airvent rings easier to fit than the instrument ones ... I do hope so !

I didn't have any trouble with the chrome instrument dials, just applied a bit of glue, held it in place while it set, and voila! maybe you got a bum set?
bad news, the chrome airvents were MUCH harder to fit. you gotta take the old ones off first, then fit the new . I posted a quick guide a few posts back.
you can't get a rhd chrome airvent kit. you can only get a lhd kit, use what you can and throw the rest away. The bit that you can't use, the center airvent bit, is a bit naff anyway and really hard to fit...

Yeah, my rings seemed a bit on the large side but maybe you bought from a different manufacturer, I now learn that there are two versions of the kit and the better version has deeper rings ?
Anyway, your comments fill me with fear about the rest...

I used a pair of stubby-nosed pliers. The way I did it was by focusing on the top of the airvent were the most plastic surround is exposed.
On the Top of the airvent, gently push back the dash (its soft, use something plastic and broad, like a spatula or a ruler)
Grab the top of the airvent surround with the pliers, careful not to grab the fins inside the vent.
Hook one of the pliers front teeth over the edge of the plastic surround (ie so you dont lose grip). This is why you're pushing the dash back, to expose the back of the airvent surround. You want to get your pliers front teeth hooked over the edge.
Pull quite firmly with the pliers, moving slightly left to right
and presto! the airvent surround pops out! (at least mine did)
I had to try a few times, as I lost grip with the pliers. But it required quite a hard pull.

Would it be worth having some sort of competition for the most popular MK2 Leon narrowed down from the list above and any other nominated cars? I have seen it on one or two other forums, and it seems to go down well
