hi all,
bought a panel damaged lcr at auction and once repaired i fitted a new battery and after checking all the liquid levels and full visual inspection i went to start it up.
it started up fine then after a couple of seconds died and has since failed to start - i'm assuming that the start was only due to the leftover petrol in the lines?
a very kind friend came round with his snap on solus pro - but noticed that the fuel pump wasnt buzzing at ignition. he tested the feed but there is no power to pump.
he concluded one of two possible solution - 1, relay/fuse, or 2, immobilser -
everything in and around the engine was tested and found to be good.
please can some kind soul shed some light on which relay/fuse controls the fuel pump and its exact location or offer any handy info that prevents me from being sodomised by the local dealer.
thanks in advance

The fuel pump relay sits in a little fuse box on the back right hand side of the engine bay, kind of behind where the air intake pipe is. Be a good place to start.

update- replaced fuel pump relay and engine started but only for a few seconds. While relay was out I checked power going to relay whicked showed some power coming through-positive for some spades only.
Can anyone shed light on which spade the immobiliser to fuel pump relay power is provided?
