I have recently just fitted a new maf, this has now solved my boosting problems but the only thing is.......the traction control doesnt seem to work any more?? The light on the dash illuminates when i turn it off but when its turned on the wheels spin like crazy!!!! I dont get any flickering of lights on the dash when its spinning and i could probably spin all day long until the engine blew up? Is there a sensor or a fuse for the traction control that i could replace easy enough? Its starting to scare the girlfriend.......:D

mine is the almost the same, the button doesn't work it's just constantly off and my engine management light is on aswell. but it came on the same time as the traction control stopped working so i;m thinking that they are lincked.

i was told to check the sensors on the wheels to see if they were broke or disconnected themselves but i think it will be a 'get your wallet out job':(

there is always something wrong with the ******* car:) lol

You probably have too much power for the TC to handle. Mine spins with TC on. Before I replaced the MAF it was fine but now it spins. The TC cant handle it

vagcom it for faulty abs wheel sensors as these provide the data for the tcs to operate, normally brings up a fault light on the dash but could be a possiblity

IF a wheel sensor had gone your ABS would not work as well?
Doesn't the TCS and the ABS rely on the same wheel sensors?

mmmmmmm interesting...........Might have to include an emergency stop scenario into my testing, i managed to get the little bugger flickering about an hour ago as i was pulling out of a junction but it literally flickered 3-4 times but was still spinning like a merry-go-round on speed.......fun but a bit stressfull at times...hahahaha. Cheers for the info lads.....

True.....Only had maf on for a week though, spose its possible to be knackered....i think it could be over-fuelling now aswell cuz im getting fairly regular rally pops from the exhaust when i change gear.
