Hey folks,

I fitted 2 Autogauge gauges yesterday and they are quite loud when you turn the ignition on... It's not the whole anti-vibration tpiece thing, as it makes the sound if I take the vacuum cable out, it's more the electrical side of things making a buzzing / humming type sound.

Plus... The voltmeter makes the sound too... (about 12.3v being used when driving it shows)

It's decent cable being used and essentially 2 wires, wired into the headlight switch, active on ignition. Earthing is fine.

I know autogauge are not the 'top end' of gauge makes, so before I replace them, just wondered, is it definately due to those gauges being fairly noisy?

if there is its not noticable when engine running which is when you use them, just turn the stereo up lol, i have not got my boost gauge in a the mo as i am getting all my pillar plastics sprayed so i cant go out and listen at the min and my other two are in the cupra r holder which are in there little cubby hole which may cut down the noise but when i fitted them i didnt notice any buzzing as this would have done my head in also, maybe you have defective gauge?
