notchy FR tdi gearbox

hi, when my 07 ibiza fr tdi is cold 2nd and 3rd gears seem a bit notchy to select unless used very gently, but when it has warmed up it is fine and smooth!

any cause for concern on the cold notchy gears?

No cause for consern but I think there are adjustments to the cables that can help. ask the dealers mate but be ready for "the warrenty doesn't cover any adjustments sir"

My advice is to just tell them about the problem rather than asking for an adjustment to be made.

i see you said cable? which are notchy as apose to a rod gear selector cheers

I had this on my old Polo also changing down from 4th to second caused problems. It went in to VW dealer and they adjusted the linkage it felt like a new gearbox
