I put a ltr of aldon stuff into 20ltrs of Optimax for recent RR day......didn't run that well at that mix but went like stink when diluted a bit more the next day so I guess you can use to much?

Or I didn't do enough miles for it to adapt to start with.

Nothing worrying TBH and what I am getting seems to be linked to a fuel fill up so perhaps fuel past its best.
I've see a couple of 6's high up the revs but nothing more. This has onlt appeared after fueling so must be that. Wehn mapped was only seeing 3.5 highest.
Keeping my eye on things though

Moderately high then, I am less than 1 across the board with 6* advance using WMI, but a bad tank of fuel can bring on higher CFs. As you say, keep an eye on things and it may prove to be just crappy fuel.

If your less than 1 your not pushing hard enough with your map ;)
Get those numbers up a bit, lol

If the ecu is going to pull if back anyway there is no point adding more timing in.. a very small pull is optimum IMO.

Wayne, since getting my car mapped my eyes have been opened to what I should have been doing to my car. My mapper has shown me that i should have benn regularly logging my car with VAGcom to check to see all is well. I will now be carrying OB in my car all the time. With Shell reputidly releasing a new firmula of VPower it will be interesting to see how my car/map performs with it. I'll be using OB and logging very often now to ensure all is well, so TBH i'd advise everyone to follow the same path. If you have a car mapped for 99RON fuel and you canonly get plain unleaded then OB is very important.
