Odd boost issue

When cruising along and accelerate gently the boost on my LCR starts rising then all of a sudden the boost guage will go off the guage but the car doenst pull with it. Its got a stage 3 remap and go fine when foot to the floor just does this with progressive acceleration.
Any Ideas?

I am going to put the decat back on today to you think that will make a difference?

Not sure to be honest, where is your boost guage plumbed into?
If it's to the dump valve, is the valve working as it should be?
Also what turbo are you running?

Looking back at old receipts it runng a garrett hybrid and it a re-circ valve not a VTA valve

If your recirc valve isn't working properly (leaking) then it may cause your guage to show false readings, that's if your guage is plumbed into the top of the valve.

Even it the guage wasnt in right it doesnt explain why the surge on light acceleration but not under full acceleration.
I have it booked in for wednesday now so will get back on here with the problem

Could be n249 related; where is the gauge plumbed into? DV of FPR? is the n249 bypassed?
or perhaps a sticking actuator? Can you move it by hand?

Has it been fitted with a manual boost controller?

The DV might not be working correctly under low pressure, i don't know for definate, just an idea.

Coming from a Jap car life all this is new to me and Ive only had the car since Saturday and found it it was doing it on the motorway home

Whats N249 and yes looking it does have a manual boost controller

Well I have the car back now and its sorted, actually wsnt a problem in the 1st place
Its due the the fly by wire throttle and th fact i have a roller GT28RS turbo.
The engine light was due to the front 02 sensor having a fault to so i need to source one of them too.

Yup, just got a price from GSF for the O2 sensor too, £67.50 +VAT ouch!
