Oil 5w 30

Is the oil 5w 30 castrol the same as the oil from a cheaper make lets say carlube, just wondering cause all the shop had was the cheap stuff, ive always used castrol but had to get some, now i got it im not sure if i will use it. I seem to only like dear things. What make do others use

Oil needs to comply to 507.00 and be 5w30 for DPF (and some FSi) engines.

The 5w30 oil is all the same quality virtually,be it castrol or other makes.
The only difference is in the name.
