Oil Choice

Anyone using Halfords Motorsport 5w50 oil?

Any thoughts on it?

I used 5/40w but its from partco, seems alrite for a cheap oil, was just shy of £20

i saw the 15/50 halfords motorsport oil. big money for own brand.

ill stick to mobil1 thanks

Sorry I got it wrong. Its 5w50 and apparentlyvits made by and us the same as comma motorsport oil.

its vw and audi approved so must be ok to use.

I use Halfords 5W/40 fully synthetic oil in my car (dont know if its the same as the motorsport oil) and it meets the specifications of Mercedes 229.3, VW 502.00/505.00, Porsche and BMW Longlife.

that was the oil i was using for a while phil when i was having it for free as i worked there, did the job..... gone to the synta gold now as i got that cheaper than the halfords stuff!!

im used to being called rhys now any way. Lol. Always get called it on here and everywhere else. Im sure that on the back of the ones we can use they are approved by Vw/audi but it doesn't say vag though.

I used to use it in my old car, then changed to millers 5w40 comp oil and it transformed the engine. Ive always used millers since. Currently using 10w40 comp.

Is anyone running the Mobil 1 motorsport stuff, the 15w50 one?

I've been using the halfords 5w50 and want to go for a better grade of oil due to me doing more track days etc next year.

swear by it

motul 300v 15w50 is what i swear by for performance turbo engine
100% shear stable unlike others
