Oil Filter

Changing my oil next week. How accesible is the filter? will i be able to remove it with a conventional filter strap?

This one uses a 1/2" knuckle bar or ratchet, I have a fairly stubby 1/2" knuckle bar ( 9" long )
will I have enough room?

It's not like that, you have to release a valve on the housing to release the oil in the filter, the housing itself unscrews and then you can replace the filter, always remember to reset the valve before refilling the oil....

Also beware that the initial start up rattle is normal, and not something I have heard in any other car. I **** myself the first time I heard mine start after an oil change. Lasts for 0.5 seconds but it was the longest 0.5 seconds I have heard for a long time!

So the housing comes off with a spanner I take it, sounds like a cleaner method.
